The $35 tablet will be launched in India on 0ct 5 and will go on sale starting from December.The device will be made available for the students from primary school to colleges.Though the production cost is Rs 3000, it will be first made available for college students at a price of Rs 1750 per piece.The difference in the price will be subsidized by the government.The tablet will run on Google’s Android with WiFi connectivity,a front facing camera and the ability to read PDFs . It will have 256 MB of RAM, a 2GB SD memory card, a 32 GB expandable memory slot and two USB ports.  “The tablet will be manufactured by Datawind, a UK-based company that is known for manufacturing the Pocket surfer, a hand-held device to surf the web”  according to The Economic Times.
