Popular Ubuntu forum, Ubuntuforums.org has been hacked by hacker with twitter handle @sputn1k_. With this hack, the hacker has access to about 2 million user personal information that includes username, email and encrypted password.
The company has admitted that there was an security breach and all its users have been asked to change there password. The hacker defaced the site with the below message in the defacement page:
“”None of this “y3w g0t haxd by albani4 c3bir 4rmy” stuff. Straight up, you dun goofed. It’s as simple as that”
The company said: “Ubuntu One, Launchpad and other Ubuntu/Canonical services are NOT affected by the breach.”
