The car here is question is GM’s new 2013 release the Chevy Volt . From the name you can understand that it is a hybrid car which a Lithium-Ion battery , Voltec electic drive system and a 1.4L gasoline powered range extender. However GM released this new software patch due to reports the the Volt tends to shutdown abruptly.
Accordingly, the power train would shutdown on its on , but the brake and steering would remain functional. And it would take a long time for the car to start again properly. In order to rectify this GM released this new patch, which can be installed at your local dealer which doesn’t take more than 30 mins .
