Microsoft Lumia 638 has been launched in India for Rs 8,299. The Lumia 638 is Microsoft’s cheapest LTE-enabled smartphone in market which runs on Windows 8.1 OS.
The phone can be pre-ordered at Amazon India and is due to be released on 18th Dec. Lumia 638 features a 4.5-inch FWVGA clearback LCD display with resolution of 854×480 pixels, and is powered by a 1.2GHz Snapdragon 400 quad-core processor. It has 1GB of RAM. The phone comes with 8GB internal storage, which can be further expanded up to 128GB using a microSD card.
It also has a 5-megapixel auto focus camera and a 1,830mAh battery. The phone does lack a front-facing camera. Connectivity options include LTE support, Bluetooth 4.0, Wi-Fi, and on the software front, it runs on Windows Phone 8.1 with Lumia Cyan.
Microsoft has tied up with Airtel to promote Lumia 638. Airtel postpaid users in Bengaluru can get up to 5GB of free LTE data for a period of two months. The offer is only applicable until March 31, 2015.
