Nintendo is having trouble in sales ever since they launched 3DS. Sales have only marked 710,000 unit in the first quarter world wide. Disappointed with the sales they have slashed prices from $249.99 to $169.99, and in Japan from of 25,000 yen ($317) to 15,000 yen ($190).
The 3DS Interface is a different for conventional portable-gaming device which do not need special 3D glasses to play games. 3DS needs to be played in a certain angle to get the full 3D experience. Two of the reasons 3DS having disappointing sales. With the new prices Nintendo is going to surprise customers thus bringing more gamers to 3DS. The Legend of Zelda-Ocarina of Time 3D is beeing popular amoung 3d gamers, with this Nintendo is hoping to make success of Super Mario 3D Land in September and Star Fox 64 3D in November.
With this prices Nintendo is trying to get back on it tracks after generating revenue of $1.2 billion, down over 50 percent over last year.
