NEC has unveiled a new Ultrabook called the LaVie X 15.6 Ultrabook in Japan. The company claims it to the worlds thinnest ultrabook in production measuring 12.8mm in thickness. The NEC LaVie X 15.6 Ultrabook features a Core i7-3517U 1.9 GHz processor, 4GB of RAM, 256GB solid state disk (SSD), 15.6-inch, 1920 x 1080 IPS display and runs on the new Windows 8 operating system

The Ultrabook is priced at 175,000 Yen or $2,100 and will be available from December 27th in Japan. As of now there is now information when it will be available world wide.
