Epson Japan has reviled Moverio a see-through 3D head-mounted display (HMD) and has claimed it to be the first of its kind. Moverio is like wearing glasses, creating watching experience of 3D and 2D with virtual 80-inch display 5m away.


The Moverio supports MPEG-4/MPEG-4 AVC/H.264 video files, MP3/AAC audio files and side-by-side 3D images with a resolution of 960×540 resolution. The Epson also features Android 2.2 OS, Wi-Fi IEEE 802.11b/g/n to access YouTube videos directly, 1GB of internal memory and microSD card slot and the head set is measured at  205×178×47mm and weighing 240g.

The Epson is expected to hit Japanese stores on 25 November for US$770.
