We’ve heard about the Motorola XT316, marketed as the Fire in Europe and “Spice Key” in Latin America. Back at the time of its unveiling, the availability for the phone was set to “later this summer” but according to the online retailer Clove – the direct link to wholesale industry, it will be hitting the U.K. market late September(we don’t have the exact date).
Clove has given the forthcoming Motorola FIRE a price and launch date, claiming the QWERTY Android 2.3 phone will arrive in the UK this September for a price around the £215 mark.
The Motorola Fire comes with a 2.8-inch low-resolution QVGA display, full chunky QWERTY keypad, Android 2.3 Gingerbread, three-megapixel camera, WiFi, GPS, FM radio with RDS, Bluetooth and a 1420mAh battery. It will be available for £180 + VAT in the U.K. (around $295) unveiling towards the end of September.
Despite its full QWERTY keyboard, this is still kind of steep for a low-to-mid end device with QVGA display.Although £215 is a little too much for now, amount will go down in the weeks and months to come.
