Motorola has now officially announced that the much awaited Motorola tablet Xoom will be launched in India by this July. Motorola Xoom tablet runs on Android 3.0 Honeycomb. This 10.1” tablet is on sale for sale through online retailers– Tradus.in and Letsbuy.com as well as at retail outlets.This best part is that Motorola hasn’t officially announced the market operating price of Motorola Xoom tablet yet. A spokesperson said on behalf of Motorola that the official market prices of the device would be announced shortly.
First glance of Motorola Xoom tablet was at the Consumer Electronics Show 2011, withall its features:
- latest version of Android-Android 3.0 Honeycomb
- a tablet-specific operating system with a powerful dual core 1 GHz Nvidia Tegra 2 system on chip
- a 10.1 inch widescreen HD (1280 x 800 pixel) display
- a 5 megapixel camera at the back and a 2 megapixel camera on the front
Some of its other features include Google mobile services, corporate email, Bluetooth 2.1, Integrated GPS, 3250 mAh Lithium-ion battery and many more features.And the tablets are available in 16 GB, 32 GB, and 64 GB versions
And the best part is that this is the first tablet to run on the latest version of Android.
Market operating price of Motorola Xoom WiFi model costs about Rs 34,500 and the WiFi+3G model costs about Rs 41, 500. The Xoom WiFi model is already available online at a price tag ranging from around Rs 31,500 – Rs 32,500, whereas the WiFi+3G model is available now at around Rs 39,000 – Rs 39,300.
There is going to be a leveled tough competition with not only already released like Apple iPad 2, a 7 inch Samsung Galaxy Tab,Huawei’s MediaPad, HTC Flyer,Creative Ziio, Acer Iconia, and BlackBerry PlayBook in its tablet segment but also with the ones that are to be yet to be release like Samsung Galaxy Tab 10.1, Asus Transformer, and ViewSonic ViewPad tablets.
