LG has officially launched its Optimus smartphone in India – LG Optimus L9. Priced at Rs. 22,000, the device features a 4.7-inch IPS display with a qHD resolution, a 1GHz dual-core processor, a 5-megapixel camera and a large 2,50 mAh battery. The smartphone comes with Android 4.0 Ice Cream Sandwich with the Optimus UI 3.0 running on top.

Coming to the applications, the Optimus L9 has adaptive keyboard called the ‘My Style Keypad’ which actually adapts to weather the user is texting single handedly or using both his fingers.It also has QTranslator app based off Optical Character Recognition (OCR) Technology and can scan entire sentences and phrases in 44 foreign languages to 64 user languages. This technology works in conjunction with the camera and an online translation engine.
