Apple has launched the highly anticipated third generation tablet, the iPad 3. The new iPad features a 9.7″ Retina display features 264 pixels per inch with a resolution of 2048 x 1536 and Fingerprint-resistant oleophobic coating.
The new iPad 3 camera features 5 megapixel iSlight camera with autofocus, face detection in still images, video recording with 1080p HD recording with 30 fps with audio, video stabilization, Photos and geotaging.
iPad 3 comes with a very powerful Dual-core Apple A5X custom-designed, high-performance processor and low-power system-on-a-chip with quad-core graphics.
iPad 3 supports LTE or Long-Term Evolution in United States and Canada and supports AT&T, Verizon, Rogers, Telus, and Bell carriers. Apple has claimed the iPad 3 to have 10 hours of battery life and 9 hours over 4G.
The iPad 3will be available for $499 for the 16GB Wi-Fi, $599 for the 32GB WiFi, and $699 for the 64GB WiFi. The WiFi and 4G model will be available for $629 for the 16GB, $729 for 32GB and $829 for the 64GB and it will go on sale on the 16th of March onwards, per-oders are available from today onwards.
