Huawei unveiled its latest and greatest smartphone – the Ascend D Quad. Powered by Huawei’s K3V2 quad-core 1.2GHz/1.5GHz processor and boasting the most compact design among 4.5-inch smartphones, the Ascend D quad runs Android 4.0 operating system. It’s also a mere 8.9mm thick, but still manages to squeeze in an 1800mAh battery.The phone will be available in China, Australia, Europe, Asia-Pacific, North and South America, and the Middle East in Q2 of 2012, while the Ascend D1 will come to these markets from April 2012.
Huawei also introduced two other iterations of the device – the DQ XL and the D1. The DQ XL is packing an extended 2500mAh battery for all your juice-thirsty needs, while the D1 sports a modest dual-core processor for more budget-minded consumers. With the same specifications as the Ascend D quad, the Ascend D quad XL measures 10.9 mm slim, while the Ascend D1 runs on a 1.5 GHz dual-core CPU and has a 1670mAh battery.
