Huawei has announced the new Ascend D1 quad XL Android 4.0 “Ice Cream Sandwich” based smartphone. The phone features Huawei K3V2 quad-core 1.4GHz processor, 4.5″ touchscreen, 1280 x 720 pixel resolution, 8MP camera capable of recording 1080p Full HD video, 1.3MP front camera, Dolby Mobile 3.0 Plus, Audience earSmart sound processor, 2600mAh battery, 8GB internal memory with microSD support and runs on Android 4.0.
Huawei has designed a custom skin called Emotion UI which will sit on top of Google’s Android 4.0 Ice Cream Sandwich operating system to improve usability and provide a much simpler navigational experience for users. The smartphone has standby time of up to 500 hours and talk time up to 15 hours.
