Hard to get the new Xiaomi Redmi Note 4G on Flipkart flash sales? Here is some good news for you then. Airtel has now partnered with Xiaomi to sell its Note 4G in Airtel stores. Xiaomi Redmi Note 4G will come bundled up with Airtel’s postpaid plans including 4G data. This setup is going to start off from Thursday.

Until now the Xiaomi Redmi Note 4G was sold only on the e-commerce website Flipkart. A couple of days back Xiaomi silently teamed up with Airtel and the Note 4G units will be also be sold by the telecom operator.  Another great thing is the phone will not be locked it will be exactly like the ones sold on Flipkart.

The company said:

The Airtel-Xiaomi collaboration will let users buy Redmi Note 4G handset at Rs. 9,999 from 133 Airtel stores across six cities – Bengaluru, Hyderabad, Chennai, Mumbai, Delhi-NCR, and Kolkata. Users will be able to book the handset from Airtel’s dedicated Mi page and select their preferred Airtel store in the aforementioned cities where they wish to pick up the device. While the booking process has already started, the sales will commence from Friday. Users can book online via Credit Card, Debit Card or Cash payment method

Airtel also mentioned that there will be a dedicated day each week called the “Mi day”, where anyone can come into the store and buy a unit without booking it earlier from the select Airtel stores.

Airtel made it very clear that any user who wants to buy the device is to select a Airtel postpaid myPlan first before buying the device. And the already existing postpaid users with at least 500MB data need not change anything and directly buy the device without opting for any data plans.

If you are in the above 6 cities and brought the Note 4G, then you will be upgraded from 3G to 4G networks, as and when 4G services are rolled out. The upgrade to 4G will happen at the same tariff as their 3G data packs.

Airtel postpaid users in Bengaluru, where Airtel already has a 4G network, can get up to 10GB free 4G data by logging on to company’s Airtel Live website via their Redmi Note 4G smartphones.
