Popular gaming firm, EA gets hacked. Hacker used EA’s web site to host a fake Apple login screen, designed to steal credit card details and Apple IDs of visitors.
The hack was reported by a security firm called Netcraft. The fake page would first ask the users to enter their Apple ID and password, and then follow up with fields for their credit card and other information. As per Netcraft, the hacker managed to hack by exploiting the outdated version of the calendar.
EA said that they have found the issue and are working for the fix.
“We found it, we have isolated it, and we are making sure such attempts are no longer possible,”
