This operating system seems to be replicating the Harmattan UI which was seen on the MeeGo-based smartphone, the N9. This reports of N5 has come just few days after Finnish mobile giant revealed the Nokia N9 that runs on MeeGo 1.2 Harmattan mobile operating system,

Looking at the pictures it seems like the device will have a 3.2 or 3.5-inch touchscreen display, also there can be seen a front-facing camera on the top and a 5 megapixel camera around its back with LED flash but it lacks the usual Carl Zeiss optics that most of other models like Nokia N8 and Nokia N9 use. There are three hardware buttons for Call Start, End along with a Menu button in the middle. The right side has the volume control and camera shutter buttons while the left side is left blank. The white colored version of the phone will mostly have a back with greenish color. Seems to be a average budget Symbian touchscreen phone which is most likely to replace the existing Nokia’s current low-end Symbian touchscreen smartphones with Symbian S60 5th Edition running. It has been confirmed that the N5 will be followed by N6 and N7, possibly with larger displays and higher resolution cameras.
