Nokia has just showed off their new mobile technology, a 41 MEGAPIXEL CAMERA phone! Its called the Nokia 808 Pureview, it was shown during the Mobile World Congress in Barcelona. The pureview uses some very sophisticated image compression and also performs well in low-light conditions. We at Geektech could not be more excited.

With this new product, Nokia could make its comeback as the world leader on mobiles. Nokia has decided to go with the Symbian Belle as the OS for the Pureview. This decision was seen with much critism by the masses, who argued that a fusion of the Lumia and Pureview would be a better mix, especially with the Windows Phone 7.5 that it sports. The Pureview does look quite bulky, but it does take amazing photos.

“The Pureview 808′s Symbian Belle operating system might detract from its appeal to a broader market, where it deserves recognition,” said Tony Cripps, a principal analyst with Ovum.

“People will inevitably focus on the 41 megapixel sensor,” said Jo Harlow, executive vice-president of Nokia smart devices.

“But the real quantum leap is how the pixels are used to deliver breathtaking image quality at any resolution and the freedom it provides to choose the story you want to tell.”
