Motorola announced that — “Motorola Pro+ Coming To Asia In October”
Today, Motorola announced the Motorola Pro+, an Android device, another QWERTY keyboard-equipped smartphone in their basket .The new Pro+ has the look almost similar of the Pro, but it has come up with smooth curves and good finishing, this change makes the Pro+ slightly wider than the Pro.
The Pro+’s screen is still 3.1 inches, but it gets a big resolution boost, going from HVGA to full 640 x 480 VGA, the phone has got a 1GHz processor and runs with Android 2.3 Gingerbread. The Pro+ display comes with a layer of Corning Gorilla Glass, so one can be carefree if they drop it a few times.
It also include a 5-megapixel camera with LED flash and autofocus, along with 4GB of internal storage and 512MB of RAM,microSD card support is included for up to 32GB of extra storage. The increased pixel density should go a long way to making the Pro+ feel like a more modern device. Processor speed and RAM remain unchanged from the original Pro, but the battery at least gets a capacity bump to 1600mAh.
Alain Mutricy, senior vice president, portfolio and device product management, Motorola Mobility said
“The Motorola PRO+ is built for people who want to take the pressure off and consolidate their work and personal lives with an efficient smartphone that acts like your personal assistant. Today, with our demanding 24/7 lifestyles your smartphone should make your complex life easier and give you an edge at work and at play.”
Motorola plans to release the Pro+ initially in Europe and Asia. Three different radio options have been announced, including one that AT&T and T-Mobile should be getting their own versions of the device if the manufacturer ever decides to bring the Pro+ to the States (though still awaiting those announcements).Motorola claims that the Pro+ will also be available in Europe and Asia in October.
