World’s first Wireless 7.1 Channel Headphones from Sony

Sony introduces MDR-DS7500 and claims the worlds first Wireless 7.1 Channel Headphones. It feature digital surround sound capabilities and Sony’s latest audio processing chip. The new audio processing chip is able to support 7.1 channels and Dolby ProLogic II z decoder support for surround sound reproduction. They also feature 2.4GHz band wireless headphone transmission formula, Remote control capability, 3D glasses support, and HDMI support for Bravia Link compatible, Audio return channel (ARC).

The battery in the headphone is said to give 18 hours of nonstop usage. The MDR-DS7500 is going to be available in Japan this October for ¥50,000 or $650.
