Global hacking network Anonymous has declared internet war on Syrian government for shutting down the internet in Syria. Syria had gone into communication blackout on Thursday when Internet connectivity was shut down this also includes the land-line and mobile networks.

The Syrian government claims that  ”terrorists” and rebel groups have destroyed communication lines, but it seem that the US and human rights groups suspect that Bashar al-Assad’s government is behind this internet blackout. Anonymous, a loose affiliation of hacking groups that opposes Internet censorship, said it will remove from the Internet all web assets belonging to Assad’s government that are outside Syria, starting with embassies.

Syria’s embassy’s in Belgium, China have been already affected.

Earlier this month Anonymous  made 44 million hacking attempts on Israeli websites during its military assault on Gaza.
