Anonymous officially declares cyberwar on Israeli
Internet hacktivist group Anonymous has declared cyberwar on Israeli for bombarding Gaza. Anonymous has already launched a massive attack named #OpIsrael on almost 700 Israeli websites, protesting against Operation Pillar of Defense in Gaza.
The websites attacked were ranging from high-profile governmental structures such as the Foreign Ministry to local tourism companies’ pages. Anonymous also target websites including Bank of Jerusalem, the Israeli Defence Ministry, the IDF blog, the President’s official website. some of them are still down.
The group has also disclosed personal data of five thousand Israeli officials online which included names, ID numbers and personal emails, and linking the files to Anonpaste.me and also addressed a message to the Israeli government.
The message said: “It has come to our attention that the Israeli government has ignored repeated warnings about the abuse of human rights, shutting down the internet in Israel and mistreating its own citizens and those of its neighboring countries.” “Israeli Gov. this is/will turn into a cyberwar.”
