The star of the California Theater in San Jose, California event was the Apple iPad Mini. The iPad Mini has gone through many rumors and leaks and now its finally released. iPad Mini is a 7.9-inch tablet, really light and thin at 0.68 pounds and 7.2 millimeters. The main trend for Apple products is to be thinner and people think it will look cooler, Apple seems to be working on just that. ”It’s not just a shrunken down iPad, it’s an entirely new design,” Schiller said.

The 7.9-inch iPad Mini tablet is two-thirds the size of the full-size model,  made of anodized aluminum design, comes in black and white colors. The iPad Mini features dual-core A5 processor, 512MB RAM, 5 megapixel camera in the back, FaceTime HD camera in the front, the expensive models of  iPad Mini come with LTE, 802.11a/b/g/n Wi-Fi and Bluetooth connectivity, new Lightning port same as iPhone 5 and runs on the latest iOS 6 operating system.

Apple claims the battery lasts up to 10 hour on Wi-Fi and has a 16.3-watt-hour rechargeable lithium-polymer battery. The iPad Mini starts from 16GB for $329 for the Wi-Fi only, 32GB Wi-Fi only for $429 and 64GB Wi-Fi only for $529. For  LTE version will cost you $130 more. The pre-order starts this Friday, October 26.
