Windows 8 Coming In October and RTM on August
Microsoft has announced at Worldwide Partner Conference by Chief Financial Officer Tami Reller in Canada that Windows 8 RTM will be available from first week of August and retail availability of Windows 8 will be releasing late October. This will give Microsoft time to certify language packs and also to give OEMs time to prepare Windows 8 systems. Tami announced that more than 630 million Windows 7 licenses have been sold to date making Windows 7 as one of the most popular bestselling operating system in history of Microsoft.
The company is on track to finish the final operating system on early August with new features and the removal of Microsoft’s Aero Glass UI in desktop mode. Microsoft will be giving genuine Windows users like Windows XP, Windows Vista, and Windows 7 upgrade to Windows 8 Pro for $39.99.
