Apple just announce the first week end sales of the iPhone 5, hitting over 5 million since the device went on sale on Friday. The figure show 1 million more than they sold of the iPhone 4S on the opening weekend last year. Apple says they have already sold off the initial stock of iPhone 5 and are tying to cope up with the massive demand.

Annalist predicted to sell over 8 million iPhone’s but with the shortage of supply which Apple did not expect the demand, they surprisingly managed to sell over 5 million iPhone 5’s for the opening weekend.
