Acer just announced the Aspire S3 at its IFA 2011 press conference, Berlin. The Aspire S3 has a 13.3-inch 1366 x 768 display, measures 0.51-inches thick. It runs on Core i3 / i5 / i7 ultra low voltage (ULV) chips, and promises roughly seven hours of battery in the SSD configuration or up to 50 days in sleep mode.. The device is made up of aluminum / magnesium alloy chassis.

Acer also claims 1.5 second “instant on” from sleep, and 2.5 second “instant connect” to the internet, thanks to special sauce Acer techniques. The pricing range from 799 Euro to 1199 Euro. Aspire S3 will launch at the end of September.
