Gamasutra Electronic Arts CFO Eric Brown revealed that “Around 1.25 million pre-orders for Battlefield 3” and is doing better than the predecessor Battlefield: Bad Company 2, where at the same time in May Battlefield 2 had sold 5 million copies world wide, but was nothing close to Call of Duty: Black Ops which had 23 million copies sold till date.

Brown says that “We have the advantage of a two-and-a-half week early launch window versus our competitor Activision’s Call of Duty: Modern Warfare 3, and we intend to use that.”

The game is set to release on October 25 2011. Watch Battlefield 3 Full Length “Fault Line” Game play trailer.
